World's largest blanket created in disaster-hit Japan city

ISHINOMAKI, Japan - Bernd Kestler, a German knitting artist from Yokohama, southwest of Tokyo, and people affected by the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake complete in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, on Sept. 20, 2014, a giant blanket connecting more than 11,000 granny squares donated by knitters all over the world.
